Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google or Kakao, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture from the provider. We use this to create and maintain your account.

Location. With your permission, we may use your device's approximate or precise location to center the in-app map and show your position relative to nearby places. We do not store location traces. You can revoke this permission in your device settings at any time.

Trip data. Information you enter to generate itineraries — destinations, dates, group size, preferences — is stored under your account so we can produce, save, and recall your trips.

Usage and device data. We collect basic usage information (pages viewed, actions taken, app version, device type) and crash diagnostics to maintain reliability and improve the product.

• Generate AI-powered itineraries and place suggestions
• Display maps and deep links to Kakao Map, Naver Map, and Kakao T
• Maintain your account and saved trips
• Diagnose errors and improve the product
• Communicate with you about service issues

3. Third parties we share with

We share the minimum data necessary with the following service providers:

• Anthropic (Claude AI): your itinerary inputs are sent to generate plans
• Supabase: database hosting (where account and trip data are stored)
• Vercel: web and app hosting
• Kakao Corp. and Naver Corp.: place lookups within Korea
• Google LLC: opening-hours verification and map deep links
• OpenWeatherMap: weather forecasts
• ExchangeRate: currency conversion rates
• Sentry: anonymized crash and error logging
• Google Cloud Vision (planned): on-demand Korean menu and sign translation

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data retention

We retain account and trip data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time (see Section 7).

5. International transfers

Our service providers may process your data in the United States, the European Union, the Republic of Korea, and other regions. By using Plzgo you consent to such transfers.

6. Children

Plzgo is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your rights

You may:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Withdraw consent for location access

8. Cookies and local storage

The web app and mobile app use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences. You can clear these from your browser or device settings.

9. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and authentication via OAuth providers. No system is fully secure; we recommend you protect access to your Google or Kakao account.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or by email. The "Effective date" at the top will reflect the latest revision.
